Centering Practice

Begin by closing our eyes and taking several slow, deep breaths

  • Say to God: I’m glad You’re here
  • Say to self: I’m glad I’m here
  • Say to neighbor: I’m glad you’re here

Call to Worship

We gather in the presence of the One
who breathes life into all of Creation.
All are welcomed in the presence of God.

We gather as Beloved Community,
each known and loved by God.
May we all be renewed in body, mind, and spirit
as we worship God. Amen!

Worship Songs

Expectation

You redeem our past
You take what’s old and broken
You’re breathing in new life

Rhythms of Your grace
Moving us to freedom
From darkness into light

You will make all things new,
You’ll bring Your kingdom here
We wait in expectation

We lift our eyes to You
Salvation’s drawing near
We wait in expectation

You have overcome
The troubles we are facing
You’re standing here with us

Oppression cannot win
And anxious thoughts are broken
By the pow’r of Jesus’ name

Oh, Oh (x3)
Oh, Salvation’s drawing near

Prayer

Scripture Reading

Psalm 121

1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life;
8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Reader: This is the Word of the Lord.
Together: Thanks be to God.

Worship Song

Oh You Bring

Oh You bring hope to the hopeless
And light to those in darkness
And death to life… now I’m alive

Oh You give peace to the restless
And joy to homes that are broken
I see You now… in You I’m found

And You opened the door for me
And You laid down Your life to set me free
All that I am will serve You, Lord

And You opened my eyes to see
All the wonder and awe of Christ in me
Jesus, You’re everything I need

Oh You fill those who are empty
And rescue those in the valley
And through it all… You calm my soul

Oh You find me in my weakness
And heal the wounds of my heartache
I worship You… in spirit and truth

All honor… all glory… all praise to You

Benediction
