Centering Practice
We invite you to slow down, breathe, and connect with God, each other, and yourself:
- Begin by closing our eyes and taking several slow, deep breaths
- For a quiet moment, say silently to yourself: “I am loved”
- Now, turn to neighbors and say out loud: “You are loved”
Call to Worship
The Spirit calls us from many places
and invites us to find our home in Christ,
together as God’s people.
God sets the lonely in families.
There are no outsiders here.
We are welcomed and embraced by love.
Amen.
Worship Songs
Oh Our Lord
We behold the breaking dawn
The light that shines over everyone
We look to You, we long for You, oh Lord
We behold the rising sun
The earth awaits, Your hope has come
We look to You, we long for You, oh Lord
Oh, oh, oh, our Lord
Oh, oh, oh, our Lord
How majestic is Your name in all the earth
We behold the falling rain
Like waters rise, flood this place
We reach for You, we cling to You, oh Lord
Oh, Your name is a light in the darkness
Oh, Your name is the word of truth
Oh Your name, oh Your name
Psalm 23 (I Am Not Alone)
O Lord You’re my Shepherd
You go before me
Defender behind me
I won’t fear
I’m filled with anointing
My cup’s overflowing
Nothing can harm me
I won’t fear
Hallelujah, I am not alone
You’re my comfort
Always holds me close
Lord, You always guide me
Through mountains and valleys
Your joy is refreshing
It restores my soul
Your mercy and goodness
Gives me assurance
That I’ll see Your glory
Face to face
Your Spirit lives within me
So I will walk in Your peace
Your Spirit lives within me
Come lead me, Lord lead me
Prayer of Confession
God of love,
we live in the tension of what could be and what is;
between who we are called to be and our lived reality.
We often fall short of the good we intend
and aim our lives at goals that are not worthy.
Forgive us, O God, we pray:
— Moment of silent prayer —
God our Shepherd,
offer us the peace that passes all understanding
and guide our steps this and each day.
Amen.
Assurance of God’s Love
Prayers of the People
After each phrase, the congregation will reply with one voice:
Lord, have mercy.
For those longing for hope in our world…
For those suffering from violence, hatred, and war…
For Your creation, groaning under the weight of waste & sin…
For our friends who need to know Your love and the friendship of our Anchor & Hope community…
For our partners & collaborators, and for the mission of our church…
Amen.

Worship Song
Isaiah Song
Oh, oh, oh
You are good
And Your mercy endures forever
Sing, sing oh barren land
Water is coming to the thirsty
Though we are empty, You are the well
We draw from You and You will provide
This is the Word of the Lord, our Creator
God stands from age to age
The ancient of days
God, You’re the Holy One
The Fairest of ten thousand
And those who call upon Your name
They shall be saved
We won’t fear
For You will be our song
You’re the river in the desert
Pouring Your Spirit on the broken
Giving beauty for our ashes
Joy for our sadness, heaven’s open
Scripture Reading
1 Peter 4:7-11
7 The end of all things is near; therefore be serious and discipline yourselves for the sake of your prayers. 8 Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins. 9 Be hospitable to one another without complaining. 10 Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received. 11 Whoever speaks must do so as one speaking the very words of God; whoever serves must do so with the strength that God supplies, so that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ. To him belong the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.
Reader: This is the Word of the Lord.
Together: Thanks be to God.

Worship Song
Build My Life
Worthy of every song we could ever sing
Worthy of all the praise we could ever bring
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for You
Jesus, the Name above every other name
Jesus, the only One who could ever save
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for You, we live for You
Holy, there is no one like You
There is none beside You
Open up my eyes in wonder
And show me who You are
And fill me with Your heart
And lead me in Your love
To those around me
I will build my life upon Your love
It is a firm foundation
I will put my trust in You alone
And I will not be shaken
