Centering Practice

We invite you to slow down, breathe, and connect with God, each other, and yourself:

  • Sit in a comfortable position — cross-legged if you’re on the floor, with both feet on the ground if you’re in a chair
  • Close your eyes and take several slow, deep breaths

Call to Worship

The Spirit calls us from many places
and invites us to find our home in Christ,
together as God’s people.

God sets the lonely in families.
There are no outsiders here.
We are welcomed and embraced by love.
Amen.

Worship Songs

Sound of Adoration

When we were lost ones
You were the Shepherd that carried us home
When we were prodigals
You ran to meet us with open arms
And we can’t hold back our praise

When we were refugees
You were the One who took us in
When we were enemies
You paid the price for all our sin
And we can’t hold back our praise

This is the sound of adoration
Oh, how we love You
Jesus, we love You

You are the joy of all creation
Oh, how we love You
Jesus, we love You

You are the Risen One
You conquered death and made a way
You sang our freedom song
Now we are dancing on our chains
And we can’t hold back our praise

By the cross, I am free
Your grace changes everything
I was blind, now I see
Your grace changes everything

Great Are You Lord

You give life
You are love
You bring light to the darkness

You give hope
You restore
every heart that is broken
And great are You, Lord

It’s Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise

We pour out our praise

It’s Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise

To You only

All the earth will shout Your praise
Our hearts will cry, these bones will sing
Great are You, Lord

Prayer

God of all grace,
The earth is Yours, and all that is in it.
We bring to You our gifts and our lives.
Make us a blessing of peace, justice, and love
for the life of the world around us.
Amen.

Scripture Reading

Isaiah 6:1-8

1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I had a vision of the Lord. He was on his throne high above, and his robe filled the temple. 2 Flaming creatures with six wings each were flying over him. They covered their faces with two of their wings and their bodies with two more. They used the other two wings for flying, 3 as they shouted,

“Holy, holy, holy, Lord All-Powerful!
The earth is filled with your glory.”

4  As they shouted, the doorposts of the temple shook, and the temple was filled with smoke. 5 Then I cried out, “I’m doomed! Everything I say is sinful, and so are the words of everyone around me. Yet I have seen the King, the Lord All-Powerful.”

6 One of the flaming creatures flew over to me with a burning coal that it had taken from the altar with a pair of metal tongs. 7 It touched my lips with the hot coal and said, “This has touched your lips. Your sins are forgiven, and you are no longer guilty.” 8 After this, I heard the Lord ask,

“Is there anyone I can send? Will someone speak for us?”

“I’ll go,” I answered. “Send me!”

Reader: This is the Word of the Lord.
Together: Thanks be to God.

Hands-On Activity

Worship Song

Have My Heart

You love with no reservations
You’re not looking for perfection
And there’s no need in me pretending
I’ll give You everything
I’ll give You everything

You deserve my full attention
Nothing less than my devotion
Oh, speak to me and I will listen
I’ll give You everything
I’ll give You everything

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
You can have my heart
You can have my heart

Be the Lord of my emotions
Set me free from selfish motives
And search me ’til there’s nothing hidden
And I’ll give You everything
Yes, I’ll give You everything

My heart is Yours forever
My heart is Yours forever
