Church Anniversary Sunday

Centering Practice
  • We invite you to slow down, breathe, and connect with God, each other, and yourself
  • Begin by closing our eyes and taking several slow, deep breaths
  • Stand for 12 seconds of silence with open hands
  • Take one big step forward to symbolize starting off on the right foot!

Call to Worship

God is doing a new thing,
making a way in the wilderness
and creating streams of Living Water
in the wasteland.

God has created and formed us,
calling us precious, honored, and loved.
We receive the love of Christ
and share it with our neighbors near and far.
Amen.

Worship Song

My Hallelujah / O Come Let Us Adore

O come all ye faithful
Come let us adore Him

You will have our hallelujah
You alone, the highest name
All to You, Lord we surrender
Every breath we take
Make our lives Your praise

Open up the doors again
Let the King of glory in
His Kingdom will never end
Oh, we know that You are good

Break the darkness with the light
All the earth let praise arise
Every dead place come alive
Oh, we know that You are good

Oh, Spirit of the Living God
Fire burning in our hearts
We’re wide awake to who You are
Oh, we know that You are good

You are my strength when I am weak
You are my sight when I can’t see
As praise goes up, I believe
The walls are coming down

Oh, when I was lost, You rescued me
When I was bound, You set me free
As praise goes up, I believe
The walls are coming down

Prayer of Confession

God of goodness and guidance,
In the midst of shadow & fog,
You send Jesus to be our light of hope.

In a world of scarcity, make us generous;
To those who fear, make us the voice of love;
For the grieving, make us tender and kind;
Hear us, O God, we pray:

— Moment of silent prayer —

Spirit of new life,
Help us to dream with You —
broader and wider and newer and brighter
than all we have ever known.
Amen.

Worship Song

You Hold It All Together

Our hope is in You God
We are steadfast
We will not be moved

We’re anchored, never shaken
All our hope is You

You come at the right time
When I least expect it
Never behind

So why would I be surprised
When You deliver every time

On mountaintops, You stay the same
In valleys low, You never change

And I believe that I will see
The goodness of the Lord
I’m confident as seasons change
Your faithfulness remains

You go, You go before me
To prepare a blessing
You madе a way

It’s more than I could imagine
More than I can fathom
Or comprehend

God of our present
God of our future
You write our story
You hold it all together

And we believe that we will see
The goodness of the Lord
We’re confident as seasons change
Your faithfulness remains

Scripture Reading

Hebrews 6:19

Our dreams for our church for 2025:

  • Kathy: I hope that we as a church can embody Christ’s love, peace, and joy to one another and the world around us as we engage deeply in relationship with God, one another, and the greater community around us.
  • Pastor David: My hope for our church in 2025 is that we are not just finding Jesus as our anchor and hope, but we are living that out in our own communities.
  • Tae: My hope for our church in 2025 is that this is a year of growth. I believe we have a wonderful church, a wonderful and dedicated pastoral staff, and a mission that is not only rooted in Truth but so relevant for the world today: to bring hope to those who need it — a hope that has been given to us through God’s love.
  • Pastor Dan: My dream is that this time next year, each of us will be more open to God, others, and ourselves — and that the journey of openness will fill our hearts with joy, meaning, and encouragement.
  • Pastor Jeya: To learn together how we can see hope by being hope in our small corners of the world, which then flows and overflows into the rest of this world.

Worship Song

Let Us Be Known

Let us be known by our love
In every word, in every deed
Honor the Son

Let our light shine in every eye
Let us be known by our love

For the glory of our Savior
For the glory of our God
For the glory of the Spirit
Let us be known by our love

Let us be known by our joy
In every home, in every heart
Sing to the Lord

Let our lives show goodness and hope
Let us be known by our joy

For the glory of our Savior
For the glory of our God
For the glory of the Spirit
Let us be known by our joy

Let us be known by our peace
In every town, in every tribe
Jesus is King

Let us go forth, heal and restore
Let us be known by our peace

For the glory of our Savior
For the glory of our God
For the glory of the Spirit
Let us be known by our peace

For the glory of our Savior
For the glory of our God
For the glory of the Spirit
Let us be known by our love
