The Third Sunday in Lent
Welcome!
On months with five Sundays, we take a “Reset Sunday” on the fifth Sunday of that month (although we’re switching things up this month because March 29th is Palm Sunday, and we’ll gather together for that day!).
During Reset Sundays, instead of gathering in community, we encourage you to get some rest, see something beautiful, eat something delicious, and connect with God, others & yourselves out in God’s world!

Genesis 1:26-27

With your kids, take time to watch these two clips from Bluey. There will be a couple of conversation questions after each short clip:
- Why is their mom in a hurry? Why is it kind of funny that she’s stressed out and in a hurry to “relax”?
- What are Bluey and Bingo doing? What words would you use to describe their emotions?
- Their mom says, “I want to start relaxing!” How would you describe her emotions?
- Is it easy or hard for Bluey’s mom to relax? Why? Can you relate? (“I don’t know how to relax! It’s harder than it looks”)
- How does their mom learn to relax from the kids?
- God wants us to rest! Everything doesn’t have to be “perfect” but we can learn to be present to the moment with God, others, and ourselves. It’s okay if it takes a little while — we can all learn to “just go about it” in little ways every day!

- Lenten Community Prayer: Throughout Lent, we will continue to gather every Wednesday at 8:00 pm for a 15 minute Zoom prayer meeting.
- Run/Walk Club: We will host a run/walk at Lake Miramar this Saturday, March 14th. We’ll meet at 9:00 am.
- In-person Worship: We hope to see you in-person next Sunday, March 15th at 10:30 am at Sandburg Elementary!
