Centering Practice
We invite you to slow down, breathe, and connect with God, each other, and yourself. Begin by taking a couple of slow, deep breaths.
- Picture a place of rest, assurance, and peace. What do you see, hear, smell, taste, touch?
- Imagine Jesus there with you. Where is He in relation to you? What do you want to say to Him today?

Worship Songs
Oh Our Lord
We behold the breaking dawn
The light that shines over everyone
We look to You, we long for You, oh Lord
We behold the rising sun
The earth awaits, Your hope has come
We look to You, we long for You, oh Lord
Oh, oh, oh, our Lord
Oh, oh, oh, our Lord
How majestic is Your name in all the earth
We behold the falling rain
Like waters rise, flood this place
We reach for You, we cling to You, oh Lord
Oh, Your name is a light in the darkness
Oh, Your name is the word of truth
Oh Your name, oh Your name
The Way
Through every battle
Through every heartbreak
Through every circumstance
I believe that You are my fortress
You are my portion
You are my hiding place
I believe You are
The way, the truth, the life
Through every blessing
Through every promise
Through every breath I take
I believe that You are Provider
You are Protector
You are the One I love
And it’s a new horizon and I’m set on You
And You meet me here today with mercies that are new
All my fears and doubts, they can all come too
Because they can’t stay long when I’m here with You
It’s a new horizon and I’m set on You
And You meet me here today with mercies that are new
All my fears and doubts
They can all come too
Because they can’t stay long when
Prayer of Confession
Lord of the Sabbath,
You are our refuge and strength,
a very present help in times of trouble.
For the ways we overwork but trust too little;
When we can’t calm our racing thoughts;
Have mercy, O God, we pray:
— Moment of silent prayer —
Lord of life,
Make us a people of overflowing peace,
for the life of the world around us.
Amen.
Assurance of God’s Love
Prayers of the People
Today, as we remember the people and places God has placed on our hearts,
we join together in the prayer Jesus taught us, saying:
Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power
and the glory, forever.
Amen.

Be Still
O broken sinner come
And rest by Galilee
And let the Savior speak to you
The beauty of His peace
His tender voice of love
Bids all your strivings cease
Breathes into every fear and doubt
The beauty of His peace
Be still my soul
Be still my soul
Be still my soul
Be still
You know my anxious thoughts
Your Spirit my relief
Speak through the earthquake, wind, and fire
The beauty of Your peace
The beauty of Your peace
When tears fall through the night
And panic grips my life
I can rest, I can rest in You
When sorrow marks my day
I will not be afraid
I will trust, I will trust in You
Lord, I need You, oh I need You
Every hour I need You
My One defense, my righteousness
Oh God how I need You
Scripture Reading
Exodus 31:12-17
12 The Lord said to Moses, 13 “You yourself are to speak to the Israelites, ‘You shall surely keep my Sabbaths, for this is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, given in order that you may know that I, the Lord, sanctify you. 14 You shall keep the Sabbath, because it is holy for you; everyone who profanes it shall be put to death; whoever does any work on it shall be cut off from among the people. 15 Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord; whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall be put to death. 16 Therefore the Israelites shall keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath throughout their generations, as a perpetual covenant. 17 It is a sign forever between me and the Israelites that in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.’”
This is the Word of the Lord.
Together: Thanks be to God.

Open Up (reprise)
May Your love
Cause us to open up
Cause us to open up our hearts
May Your light
Cause us to shine so bright
That we bring hope into the dark
All that we do without love
It means nothing
Grant us the courage to give
As You’re calling
Make me an instrument
Of Your peace
Where there is hatred
Let me sow love
Where there is darkness
Let me shine light and…
Hope for the hopeless
Your love is
Strength in our weakness
Your love is
