Centering Practice

We invite you to slow down, breathe, and connect with God, each other, and yourself. Begin by taking a couple of slow, deep breaths.

  • Begin by bringing your attention into your body.
  • Be aware of your whole body as best you can. Take a breath.

Call to Worship

Welcome, friends, to this holy day.
We come to offer thanks;
we come to sing and pray.

Welcome, friends, to this time set apart.
A time to remember those we love,
and time to remember the holy promises of God.

Welcome, friends,
to this table of remembrance and joy,
The table where we are fed,
the feast we share with many.

Welcome, friends,
and let us worship God.
Amen.

Worship Songs

Sound of Adoration

When we were lost ones
You were the Shepherd that carried us home
When we were prodigals
You ran to meet us with open arms
And we can’t hold back our praise

When we were refugees
You were the One who took us in
When we were enemies
You paid the price for all our sin
And we can’t hold back our praise

This is the sound of adoration
Oh, how we love You
Jesus, we love You

You are the joy of all creation
Oh, how we love You
Jesus, we love You

You are the Risen One
You conquered death and made a way
You sang our freedom song
Now we are dancing on our chains
And we can’t hold back our praise

By the cross, I am free
Your grace changes everything
I was blind, now I see
Your grace changes everything

Open Space w Hosanna tag

Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes
to the things unseen
Show me how to love like You
have loved me

Break my heart for what breaks Your
Everything I am
for Your Kingdom’s cause
As I walk from earth into eternity

Pull me in closer
Close to Your heart
May I be a pure reflection of all You are

Love that is patient
Love that is kind
And love that keeps no offences
or wrongs in my mind

Make me like Jesus
Make me like Jesus

You’re faithful to find me
Right where I am
Though even in my wandering You call me friend

And mercy receives me
and lifts me to my feet
And I’m caught up in the wonder and mystery

Of knowing Jesus
Of knowing Jesus

My heart is an open space
for You to come and have Your way
I’m open, I’m open

Hosanna, Hosanna
Hosanna in the highest

Prayer of Confession

Gracious God, source of all life,
Lord of mercy and grace,
Hear our prayer.

We come before You in need of healing:
The healing of our bodies and souls,

The healing of our relationships,
The healing of our pride and fear and apathy.

We come to you to confess our shortcomings,
Our weakness, our need for You,

Knowing that You love, heal, and forgive us
Hear us, O Lord, we pray:

— Moment of silent prayer —

We know that with You, nothing is impossible,
Not even our healing,
Not even the restoration of the whole world.

We pray that You will heal us,
That You will heal our world,

So that we will be freed
To serve and love and dream and be,
As Christ calls us. Amen.

Assurance of God’s Love

Prayers of the People

Church prays out loud the lines in bold

For those whose lives are broken by distress
May the God of healing restore you

For those whose lives are broken by fear
May the God of healing restore you

For those whose lives are broken by anger
May the God of healing restore you

For those whose lives are broken by pain
May the God of healing restore you

For those whose lives are broken by illness
May the God of healing restore you

For those whose lives are broken by sin
May the God of healing restore you

Life, wholeness, and restoration
into fractured lives and souls.

Worship Song

Lord I Need You

Lord I come, I confess
Bowing here, I find my rest

Without You, I fall apart
You’re the One
That guides my heart

Lord I need You
Oh I need You
Every hour I need You

My One defense
My righteousness
Oh God how I need You

Where sin runs deep
Your grace is more
Where grace is found
Is where You are

And where You are
Lord I am free
Holiness is Christ in me

So teach my song to rise to You
When temptation comes my way
When I cannot stand I’ll fall on You
Jesus, You’re my hope and stay

Scripture Reading

Matthew 9:20-22

20 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. 21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”

22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.

This is the Word of the Lord.
Together: Thanks be to God.

Worship Song

Let Us Be Known

Let us be known by our love
In every word, in every deed
Honor the Son

Let our light shine in every eye
Let us be known by our love

For the glory of our Savior
For the glory of our God
For the glory of the Spirit
Let us be known by our love

Let us be known by our joy
In every home, in every heart
Sing to the Lord

Let our lives show goodness and hope
Let us be known by our joy

For the glory of our Savior
For the glory of our God
For the glory of the Spirit
Let us be known by our joy

Let us be known by our peace
In every town, in every tribe
Jesus is King

Let us go forth, heal and restore
Let us be known by our peace

For the glory of our Savior
For the glory of our God
For the glory of the Spirit
Let us be known by our peace

For the glory of our Savior
For the glory of our God
For the glory of the Spirit
Let us be known by our love
